Both base GT and GTL models are equipped with leveling xenon headlights, heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, ABS, luggage rack, multifunction display, adjustable windshields and a three-mode E- Gas throttle.
The K1600GT will also be offered in A "standard A" and A "premium A" packages. The Standard package is GPS ready, and adds BMW A's Electronic Suspension Adjustment II (ESA II) technology as well as a safety package with adaptive xenon headlight, traction control and tire pressure monitor. The Premium K1600GT package includes everything in the Standard package plus an audio system with Sirius satellite radio (including a one-year subscription), a power central locking system and an anti-theft alarm.
At $23,200, the base K1600GTL is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, an audio system, color- matched top case with backrest and extra stop light, an upgraded windshield and footrests and a chrome body kit.
The K1600GTL is also available in a Premium package for $25,845. The Premium package adds the safety package as well as LED fog lights, ESA II, power central locking system and anti-theft alarm.
The 2012 BMW K1600GT will be available in light gray metallic or vermillion red metallic. The 2012 BMW K1600GTL will come in royal blue metallic or mineral silver metallic. Both models will arrive in U.S. dealerships in the spring.
